Breaking: Buhari arrives Nigeria after 4-day medical visit to UK

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Abuja following his 4-day medical visit to the UK. This was contained in a tweet shared by the APC UK branch and the president's personal assistant on new media, Bashir Ahmad.

The presidential jet that conveyed him President Buhari arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at 6:49 pm.

President Buhari was accompanied by security officials and a few close aides.

Before his departure, the president was visited by members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) UK branch.

The president had stayed in London for two days last week while returning from Washington, United States, where he met with President Donald Trump.

A statement by a presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, said: ?In the course of the technical stop-over for aircraft maintenance in London on his way back from Washington last week, the president had a meeting with his doctor.?

In a previous report by NAIJ.com,  President Buhari departed Abuja for London where he was scheduled to meet with his doctors for routine medical check up.

The presidential aircraft conveying the president and few of his aides took-off from the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at 3.20p.m.

The minister of Federal Capital Territory Alhaji Muhammad Bello, the Inspector-General of Police Ibrahim Idris and Chief of Staff to the president, Malam Abba Kyari were among those at the airport to bid the president farewell.
