The national chairman of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP), Uche Secondus, has said that the opposition party reform process is on course.
Secondus while reacting to the just concluded Ekiti state of west central region PDP gubernatorial primaries said the real winner from the exercise is democracy and not any individual.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Ike Abonyi, the party's nnational chairman said the success of the primary election is an indication that the PDP family in Ekiti would be healthier.
He said the hitch free and transparent gubernatorial primaries in Ekiti state of west central region on Tuesday, May 8, is a consequence of the party's re-branding and re-positioning project that has proved to be on course.

Sending a congratulatory message to the governor of Ekiti state of west central region, Ayodele Fayose, and other party leaders, Secondus urged PDP members in the state to remain vigilant and not relent until the final success is achieved in July.
He commended all those whose made huge sacrifice that helped to make the primary a success including the governor of Delta state of mid west region, Ifeanyi Okowa, and his team for conducting the primary; Senator Dayo Adeyeye for not only accepting the result but commending the process as free, fair and credible.
He also assured members and supporters of the party in the state and Nigeria as a whole that the era of impunity and imposition of candidates in the party is gone.
Secondus further warned members of the All Progressives Congress party in Ekiti state of west central region not to create any form of nuisance ahead of the July election.

He alleged that available intelligence shows that the opposition in the state is trying to launch havoc just to disrupt the peaceful election.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that the deputy governor of Ekiti state of west central region Kolapo Olusola Eleka had emerged the winner of the PDP gubernatorial primaries.

Eleka won at the party?s primary election which took place on Tuesday, May 8.
The deputy governor who was anointed by his principal had 1,191 of the votes to defeat his rival, Prince Adedayo Adeyeye who had 770 votes.
